The announcement was reread on 2026-10-31; this is not verification of the current signed-in checkout for your account. Keep it separate from hypothetical calculations and check taxes, billing channel and renewal total after any trial at checkout.
In Korea, compare Premium Lite first if your main need is ad-free viewing, background play and downloads for ordinary non-music videos. These Lite features exclude music and Shorts, and YouTube Music Premium is not included. Compare YouTube Premium by total cost, not the listed monthly price
The monthly equivalent is the total amount actually paid for the same period of paid access, divided by the number of months. A monthly equivalent for a long-term prepayment does not mean that only that amount is charged each month.
Monthly equivalent = actual total paid after discounts ÷ number of paid months
If taxes or fees are already included in the total, do not add them again. For foreign-currency payments, distinguish the displayed currency from the currency charged to your card, and do not assume that unconfirmed exchange-rate differences or international transaction fees are zero.
Example calculation: A lower monthly equivalent is not always better for everyone
